I want my front teeth to look better, but I do not want to wear braces. What would you recommend?

In the last decade, dental technology has evolved, so you can have straighter teeth without enduring months of wearing traditional braces. For minor crowding, we prescribe Red, White, & Blue clear plastic retainers. We can also use bonding or porcelain veneers to create a straight, beautiful smile in a couple of appointments. To find out more, contact us and schedule an appointment with Dr. Lindahl.

I do not like drills. Are there any other options?

When it comes to getting fillings, many people feel uncomfortable when they hear the whirring sound of the drill. To ease that discomfort, our practice uses electric hand pieces and air abrasion tools that are quieter and more comfortable. If you are still concerned, Dr. Lindahl is always happy to demonstrate how these tools work.

I really do not like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?

We use state-of-the-art dental tools that allow us to work quickly, while optimizing your comfort. If you need a more extensive procedure, we offer nitrous oxide. You can relax by watching cable television or movies, or listening to music, during your procedure. We also have blankets and neck wraps available to help you unwind. Finally, we believe the most important thing we can do to help you feel comfortable is to be there for you. If you are concerned about a procedure or service, talk to us. We are always ready to answer your questions and help you feel relaxed.

My gums bleed after I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?

Bleeding gums may result from irritation caused by plaque build-up, which causes early-stage gum disease, gingivitis. When left untreated, gum disease can rapidly advance to cause a variety of health problems, including tooth loss, bone deterioration, and increased risk for stroke, heart attack, osteoporosis, and respiratory problems. If your gums bleed or appear red and swollen, contact us to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lindahl so that we can make a diagnosis and plan periodontal treatments.
